Keybindings
Category: Keybindings
What it does: Lets you view and customize the keyboard shortcut for every action in Kunobi. All bindings are per-platform — your macOS bindings don't affect Windows/Linux.
Viewing Keybindings
- Navigate to Settings → Keybindings
- The full list of actions is displayed with their current shortcuts, grouped by category
- Each row shows the Category, Source, Action, ID, When condition, and Shortcut
- Use the Search keybindings bar at the top right to filter actions by name
Customizing a Shortcut
- Click on any row in the keybindings list to select it
- A dialog appears: "Press desired key combination and then press ENTER"
- Press your new key combination — it's shown in the input field
- Press
Enterto confirm, orEscto cancel
The dialog also shows the Current binding so you know what you're replacing. Use the reset icon (↺) on the row to restore the default at any time.
Resetting Shortcuts
Reset a single binding:
- Hover over the modified binding
- Click the Reset icon that appears
Reset all bindings to defaults:
- Click Reset All at the top of the Keybindings tab
- Confirm in the dialog
When Conditions
Each action has a When field that shows the context in which the shortcut is active. For example:
k8s-drilldown— only active on the K8s Drilldown pageterminal-focused— only active when the terminal has focusalways— active everywhere in the app
This means the same key can be used for different actions in different contexts without conflict.
Action Categories
Actions are grouped by category:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Navigation | Go to page, go back, command palette |
| K8s Resources | Select all, filter, view YAML, scale, delete |
| Terminal | Toggle panel, split panes, focus pane |
| AI | Open selector, new conversation, focus tab |
| Layout | Toggle sidebars, fullscreen, maximize |
| View Modes | Table, graph, split views |
| Clusters | Connect, disconnect, refresh |
| System | Settings, update, minimize, quit |
Tips
- Use the search bar to quickly find actions by keyword (e.g., "delete", "scale", "log")
- Customizations persist across app updates — defaults only change if Kunobi adds new defaults for new features
