Changelog

v0.1.0-beta.21

Released: February 12, 2026

What's New

Browser-Style Tabs

Kunobi now supports browser-style tabs, letting you work across multiple views simultaneously without losing context. Open new tabs for different clusters, resources, or flows and switch between them effortlessly.

  • Drag-and-drop tab reordering
  • Per-tab state isolation — each tab maintains its own context and resources
  • Right-click context menu for tab management (close, close others, duplicate)
  • Keyboard navigation between tabs

Keyboard Shortcuts for Local Clusters

The "Try Kunobi" page now supports full keyboard navigation. Quickly create, start, stop, and delete local clusters without reaching for the mouse.

Flow View Dark Mode

The Flow view now has built-in dark mode support with updated color palettes designed for comfortable viewing in dark themes. Node colors use alpha-based palettes that adapt to your chosen theme.

Performance

  • Significantly faster flow graph calculations with optimized algorithms in the Rust backend
  • Improved Monaco editor initialization, eliminating ResizeObserver layout issues and preventing crashes

  • Enhanced onboarding wizard with a new sign-in step that highlights the benefits of creating an account, including AI features, settings sync, and cloud integrations
  • Improved home tour with clearer sign-in guidance

UI Polish

  • Improved tooltip positioning to avoid edge clipping across the UI
  • Panel resize cursor now correctly appears on border hover
  • Cluster names now resolve properly for tooltip display
  • Copy button added to resource names in the sidebar for easy clipboard access
  • Platform-aware keyboard shortcut display (shows Cmd on macOS, Ctrl on Windows/Linux)

Bug Fixes

Shells & Terminal

  • You can now open a shell into pods that are still starting up or not fully healthy
  • When a container is crash-looping or unable to start, you now see a clear error message right away instead of repeated retries ending in "Pod not found"

Kubernetes

  • Status column now updates reactively when resource state changes
  • Fixed "No resources" flash on initial load in the K8s drilldown view
  • Hardened Helm release parsing against malformed and oversized data

Logs & Telemetry

  • Fixed duplicate log entries appearing on reconnection
  • Job logs no longer appear empty on first click
  • Resolved multiple telemetry issues

Stability

  • Improved background task handling for more reliable long-running operations
  • Fixed stale closures and ResizeObserver issues in the code editor
