Kunobi Pre-Release App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Zondax AG ("Zondax", "we", "us") handles personal data for the Kunobi pre-release desktop application ("App"). It does not cover the Kunobi or Zondax websites.

1. Summary

  • The App does not collect data by default.
  • We ask for permission before collecting optional diagnostics or usage data.
  • Optional features may process content or context when enabled; you control what features and sources are available.
  • You can change your data-sharing choice at any time in the App settings.

2. Data We Collect by Default

We do not collect personal data, logs, or telemetry from the App by default. App settings and configuration are stored locally on your device.

3. Optional Diagnostics and Usage Data (Opt-In)

If you choose to enable diagnostics or telemetry, we may collect limited technical data to improve the App, such as:

  • Feature usage counts and navigation events
  • Performance metrics (e.g., startup time)
  • Error reports and crash logs
  • App version, operating system version, and device type

We ask for your permission before any such collection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. When possible, data is pseudonymous and does not directly identify you. Diagnostics data is separate from any content processed by optional features.

4. User-Provided Content (Optional Features)

If you enable optional features such as AI assistance, feedback, or support, the App may process and transmit content or context that those features access (for example, text you enter, resources you make available, or data accessed through enabled integrations) to provide the feature. We process that content only to provide the feature. It may be transmitted to service providers that help deliver it. You control whether these features are enabled and what sources they can access; avoid sensitive data unless necessary. If you contact us, we may receive your contact information.

5. Data We Do Not Collect by Default

We do not automatically access, collect, or transmit your cluster data or credentials. Any content processed by optional features is handled as described in Section 4.

Network metadata like IP addresses may be processed by our infrastructure or service providers in the normal course of operating the service, but we do not use it to identify you.

6. How We Use Data

If you opt in, we use diagnostics and usage data to:

  • Improve features and usability
  • Monitor performance and stability
  • Fix bugs and crashes

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.

7. Legal Basis

Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis for optional diagnostics is your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time in the App settings.

8. Sharing and Processors

We may use trusted service providers to store or process diagnostics data on our behalf. They are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations. We do not share data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

9. International Transfers

We are based in Switzerland. If data is processed outside Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards to protect it.

10. Retention

We keep optional diagnostics data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, and then delete or anonymize it.

11. Your Choices and Rights

  • Enable or disable diagnostics in the App at any time.
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
  • Where applicable, request portability or object to processing.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the Effective Date.
